Dakoko was established in 2008 in order to make risk-free parts production in China possible.
Until then, Sebastian Maling had been learning the hard way as a partner in a procurement consultancy in China. His work involved not just strategic procurement consulting, but also the operative implementation of procurement projects. Despite all possible controls and precautionary measures, difficulties kept cropping up in project implementation – especially when turning metal drawing parts.
So that was why Sebastian Maling decided to set up his own manufacturing company, which would combine the cost benefits of manufacturing in China with the organisational standards of a European company.

Although Dakoko is a young company on paper, its team can point to over 200 years of experience in manufacturing turned parts in Asia.
That is one reason why a strict quality management system is in effect throughout the company.
Moreover, our intermediates’ suppliers are subject to regular audits to ensure high quality standards.
Compliance is another key issue at Dakoko. We strictly adhere to all laws, rules and regulations, with an internal compliance officer, clear rules and seamless control mechanisms all playing their part.
In our own production facility and those of our partner companies, we strictly monitor adherence to working standards, respect for workers’ rights, on-the-job safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
